CARBON FOOTPRINT AND CARBON OFFSET
The road to improving the company’s vision on sustainability began with a careful glance at the environmental impact of all the activities within the organization.
A renewed awareness in the vision for the future led to launching both a carbon footprint evaluation process, to measure the company’s environmental impact in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, and a carbon offset strategy to balance and compensate for such emissions.
We established concrete achievable goals at all levels:

Thanks to the cancellation of carbon credits linked to projects of environmental protection and social promotion at an international level, Brevetti Stendalto was certified as Zero Emission Company in compliance with UNI EN ISO 14064.
Scope-1 and scope-2 emissions were compensated. These included emissions generated by energy vectors both directly (such as natural gas and fuel combustion) and indirectly (like purchased electricity). This initiative represents the first step toward even more ambitious goals in the future.
